Overall, Turkey registered 84,403 home sales in April, an annual decline of 18.1%, according to TurkStat. Istanbul recorded the largest share of home sales with 18.3% and 15,481 homes sold. Istanbul followed by the capital, Ankara 7,519 units and Izmir with 4,797 sales of homes, representing respectively 8.9% and 5.7%.
Considering the nationality of the foreign buyers in Turkey, Iraqi citizens are again at the top of the list of major foreign buyers in terms of nationality.
